Proud to announce two photo exhibits my photographer friend Liz Luse and I are doing in Garland, Texas: Granville Arts Center March 26th-April 28th and the Generator Coffee Shop June 28th-September 10th. For over a year Liz captured images every Monday on Main Street in downtown Dallas and I did once a week in downtown Garland. When Liz and I shared with each other her Dallas photos and my Garland ones, something magical happened, or at least it felt that way. Though we never spoke about what we were photographing during the course of our projects, we ended up with numerous images consisting of strong common threads of subject matter and/or meaning. In time we saw how both our journeys embraced heritage and the need for positive changes in communities and their individual citizens. Our excitement over these findings resulted in doing these photo exhibits and creating book a book together: http://www.blurb.com/b/6969319-imagine-the-possibilities Our biggest hope is for them to inspire others to imagine their possibilities and go for whatever positively speaks to them the loudest.
